The Air Quality Management System (AQMS) is an important auxiliary tool to support local strategies to improve quality of life, protection of public health and increase sustainability.

The main aim is to analyze the environmental risks associated with air pollution, through ongoing evaluation of indicators and index such as:

  • Local index of acute incidence:  It registers the presence of high concentrations of chemical or atmospheric particles for a limited time of exposure.
  • Local index of long exposure: It delineates areas subject to prolonged exposure to high concentrations of chemical or atmospheric particles for a limited time of exposure.
  • Index of climate sustainability: It analyzes the impacts of local issues with global impact, including the climatic point of view.

This platform contains tools for participation, interaction and exploitation by users with different profiles. Internally, the platform can integrate real- time collected data by a sensor network dedicated to measuring the intensity of road use.

Internally, our air quality management system has a connection to real-time traffic monitoring system allowing better identification of pollutant emission standards.
